WHY I AM RUNNING
I’m not running in this election to be something.
I’m running to do something.
As a lifelong resident of Newton County, I understand the unique challenges facing our communities. I have practiced law in this community for over 25 years, and I know how to get things done here. If elected:
- I will preside in a manner that respects and supports the efforts of our local law enforcement officers, while maintaining a fair and impartial justice system that protects the constitutional rights of every citizen. I will not be pressured by political or personal gain, and I will faithfully apply the law equally for all.
- I will work hard to significantly develop community partnerships and expand our mental health resources and addiction treatment programs. This is important to me because I believe addressing this issue is critical to the safety and welfare of all residents in Newton County.
- I will seek to expand community service programs to provide alternative sentencing options and encourage additional accountability for offenders, while also assisting local communities with public events and projects.
- I will review and develop the Superior Court’s technological resources to increase efficiency, enhance the courtroom experience, and lower operating costs and litigant expenses.

Newton County needs a Superior Court Judge with meaningful courtroom experience, a broad understanding of the law, and the management skills necessary to bring people together and solve problems.
